The Overton Gallery at Riverhead Free Library will showcase the work of fine art and editorial photographer, Miranda Gatewood May 30-June 20.

Living on the North Fork of Long Island, Gatewood’s works have been collected by numerous galleries and museums across the United States. This exhibit is a great opportunity for art enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the captivating world of fine art photography.

Miranda Gatewood holds an M.F.A. in fine art photography from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She has been exhibiting since 1977, and her work has been collected by the Erie Art Museum in Erie, Pennsylvania. She has won awards and was selected for national juried photography exhibits across the country. Gatewood has produced public art outdoor projections of words and images called “Light Murals,” for East End Arts, and “Alive on 25.” She is a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) Strategic Opportunity Stipend and exhibited in the NYFA-funded East End Arts’ JumpstART program. Currently, she is an adjunct professor of photography at SUNY Farmingdale State College in Farmingdale, and an adjunct lecturer at the University at Albany in Albany.
