Morning Glory Blue Basket Weaving Class at Hallockville Museum Farm

The Hallockville Museum Farm is hosting a Morning Glory Blue Basket Weaving Class on Aug. 16, 2023. The class will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to create an oval basket, measuring 13 inches wide and 15 inches tall with handles, starting with a wood base. The placement of spokes creates a pattern, finished with a solid rim and oak handle. This basket can be used for indoor storage.

The cost for Hallockville Members is $50, while the general public can attend for $65. There is an additional at-door materials fee of $45, which covers the fibers necessary to make the basket.

Participants are asked to bring 12 or more clothespins, scissors, a pencil, a ruler, needle nose pliers, and snacks. The event will take place at 6038 Sound Ave, Riverhead.
