Movie matinee Friday: “National Treasure” at Riverhead Free Library

Riverhead Free Library will screen “National Treasure” as part of its movie matinee Friday series.

The film follows modern treasure hunters led by archaeologist Ben Gates as they search for a chest of riches said to have been hidden during the Revolutionary War. Their hunt leads them to clues tied to the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, with rivals close behind.

The library will provide concession stand snacks and may include some ghoulish treats. No registration is required.
