Join us for an enlightening presentation, “The Natural Secrets of Long Island” with naturalist John Turner. This event is a review of the plants, animals, and natural landscapes that make Long Island the special place it is. John Turner, a seasoned environmental educator and advocate, has nearly 50 years of experience in the field. He has given hundreds of talks and programs and led nature walks on a wide range of natural history and environmental topics for many organizations.

Turner has written articles that have appeared in numerous newsletters and magazines including Defenders, Birder’s World, Long Island Forum, Bird Watcher’s Digest, Networking Magazine, and The Conservationist. He is the author of a popular Long Island nature guide “Exploring the Other Island: A Seasonal Nature Guide to Long Island” (2nd Edition).
