NFAC: One-Time Introductory Improv Workshop

North Fork Arts Center is hosting a one-time introductory improv workshop on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop is designed for students aged 12 to 16 and is limited to 16 participants. The course will be led by screenwriter, comedian and arts educator Katy Berry.

The workshop aims to introduce the fundamentals of improv like yes-and, world building and trusting your scene partners. No prior acting experience is required, just a willingness to be weird!

Katy Berry, originally from Mattituck, is a comedian, writer and musical improviser based in New York City who’s traveled the world performing at venues including The Kennedy Center, Town Hall with David Byrne in New York City, and multiple sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest. Her original writing and videos have been featured in Vulture, Studio360, Bustle, Chortle, Reductress, The Guardian, the Magnet Comedy Film Festival, NYC Web Fest, Coney Island Film Festival, Chain Film Festival and more.
