Patriot Picnic Basket Weaving Class at Hallockville Museum Farm

The Hallockville Museum Farm is hosting a Patriot Picnic Basket Weaving Class on July 29, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to create a large basket adorned with ‘chicken feet’ fillers, wood stars, and two swing handles. This basket could be a thoughtful summer birthday or wedding gift, especially when filled with local Long Island products.

The cost of the class is $50 for Hallockville members and $65 for the general public. An additional at-door materials fee of $45 is required, which covers the fibers necessary to make the basket.

Participants are asked to bring the following items:
– 12 or more clothespins
– Scissors
– A pencil
– A ruler
– Needle nose pliers
– Snacks
