The Shoppes at East Wind is hosting the Railroad Museum of Long Island’s Toy Train Outreach Program and Clinic on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 18 and 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This unique event offers the community an opportunity to engage with members of the Railroad Museum of Long Island and their model trains. Various train layouts will be on display and toy trains will be in operation.
For those who have a toy train that’s not operating properly, knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand at the Toy Train Clinic to check it over. It’s a great chance to get your toy train fixed or learn more about its operation.
This event is free to attend and open to all. Even if you don’t have a train to repair, you’re welcome to come and check out the exhibition in Suite G. In addition, the carousel will also be open that weekend from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
