Riverhead community blood drive

The New York Blood Center will hold a community blood drive at the Riverhead Fire Department. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.

Donors are asked to eat well and hydrate before donating, bring a photo ID, and feel well and symptom-free. Eligibility guidelines include meeting minimum weight requirements and age requirements. Donors must be ages 17 to 75. Donors age 16 may donate with a parental permission form, and donors age 76 and older must have written physician consent.

Participating donors will receive homemade baked goods and a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream from Snowflake.
