Riverhead community blood drive at Riverhead Fire Department

The Riverhead Fire Department will host a community blood drive with the New York Blood Center on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Appointments can be made online. Donors are asked to eat well, hydrate, bring a photo ID and be symptom-free. Eligibility guidelines and age requirements apply, including parental permission for 16-year-old donors and physician consent for donors 76 and older.

Homemade baked goods will be available for donors, and participants will receive a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream from Snowflake. The drive will also include a “12 Days of Cheer” prize promotion; details are available through the New York Blood Center.
