Riverhead Polish Festival at Polish Hall

The annual Riverhead Polish Festival, sponsored by the Riverhead Polish Hall, is set to take place on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, from 11 a.m. to midnight. This family-friendly event offers a variety of attractions for all attendees.

During the day, the festival will be held both indoors and outdoors, featuring live polka music Visitors can enjoy traditional Polish food and browse through the offerings of Polish, handcrafted, and artisan vendors.

11:30 a.m. :  Crowning of 2023 Riverhead Polish Independent Club King and Queen

12 noon: Presentation of National Anthems

1 p.m.: Re-enactment of traditional Polish wedding

2 p.m.: Polska Szkola – Children’s dance group

3 p.m.: Polska Szkola – Parents and teachers dance group

Admission to outdoor event area from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. is $5. Children 5 years and under enter free. No admission charge for street festival area. Live music by the John Stevens Polka Band from noon to 5 p.m.  A ‘Polish Platter’ is available for purchase at $20, and kielbasa sandwiches for $10,

The evening event starts at 6 p.m. inside the Polish Hall, with DJ Arthur Retro-Band providing music until midnight.The large dance floor will be open for attendees to enjoy, and a cash bar will be available throughout. Event ends at midnight. Admission $20 for adults and teens, $10 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under free.
