Riverhead town wide cleanup

Riverhead’s Anti-Litter Committee is seeking volunteers for a town-wide cleanup day on Saturday, April 25.

Participants are asked to check in at Riverhead Town Hall, 4 West Second Street, between 9 and 11 a.m. Volunteers may register individually or as a team by emailing jrizzohcs@optonline.net.

Organizers ask participants to complete a waiver form and bring it with them on the day of the event. Gloves, bags and litter pickers can be provided, and walk-ins are also welcome.

Students may request two community service credits for participating.

The cleanup effort is aimed at helping beautify the town and reduce litter in the community.
