Six-week writing workshop with Mira Johnson at North Fork Arts Center

Join the North Fork Arts Center for a six-week writing workshop with Mira Johnson, starting on Jan. 10, 2026, and continuing every Saturday until Feb. 14, 2026. The workshop invites writers of all levels to play and experiment with writing in a supportive community. Participants will develop skills in character development/voice, description, dialogue, metaphorical language, and narrative arc by producing original work and sharing it for constructive feedback. The course includes in-class writing prompts, guided discussions, and analysis of published mentor texts. Designed for writers of all genres, this six-week course creates a nurturing environment focused on revision and growth. Please note that the class is limited to 12 students and students must be able to attend all workshops. The cost of the workshop is $200.
