Supporting Our Veterans by VFW Post 2476 Auxiliary

The VFW Post 2476 Auxiliary is organizing its annual ‘Supporting Our Veterans’ event from Nov. 16 to Dec. 17. Donation boxes will be placed at various locations in Riverhead including the Town Hall Lobby, Glenwood Recreation Center, Flanders Senior Center, and the Post 2476 on Parkway St. The community is encouraged to donate items such as toiletries, socks, shirts, undergarments, hats, gloves, sweatshirts, and pants for both men and women. If you don’t have time to shop, you can stop by the VFW and leave a cash donation, and the auxiliary will do the shopping for you. This is a great opportunity to show our veterans what their sacrifice means to us. Last year, the event managed to donate over $3,500 in items to the veterans in Northport and locally.
