Southold Historical Museum is once again hosting their popular Ten Squared Exhibit and Sale. This year’s theme is ‘The Natural World Around Us.’ The exhibit aims to inspire artists with the changing seasons and landscape of Southold, and raise awareness about the dangers facing the natural world. The online exhibition and sale will take place from Friday, Nov. 15 to Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024. Here’s what you need to know:
– Each work will be sold for $100, with 50% of each sale going to the museum and 50% going to the artist.
– Artists can submit one to three works in any medium. However, larger works created with multiple adjoined boards will not be accepted.
– The finished 10″ x 10″ works are due by Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. Works can be dropped off during office hours (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) from Monday, Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 25. No late entries will be accepted.
– Artwork must be dry and hang ready when submitted. Work must be identified on the back with the artist’s name, title, and medium.
– Checks for sold works will be mailed in January 2025. Artists with unsold works will be notified by email. Unsold work must be retrieved by Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, or it will be recycled.
