Suffolk Theater is excited to welcome back The Lords of 52nd Street on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at 8 p.m. Known for their authentic renditions of Billy Joel’s greatest hits, the band promises an evening of nostalgia and top-notch entertainment.
The Lords of 52nd Street comprises legendary musicians who contributed to Billy Joel’s classic albums and helped establish his unique sound. Despite band member Richie Cannata’s absence due to health issues, Liberty DeVitto and Russell Javors will carry on with the show.
Their journey began with Billy Joel’s album ‘Turnstiles’, which catapulted them from local college gigs to performing at Madison Square Garden. They went on to record several successful albums, including ‘The Stranger’ with its diamond certification and No. 1 singles such as ‘Only The Good Die Young’ and ‘Just The Way You Are’.
After a 30-year separation, the band reunited following their induction into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2014. Today, they continue to perform Billy Joel’s hits exactly as they were recorded, ensuring an authentic experience for fans.
Tickets for the show range from $49 to $65, plus applicable fees, and can be purchased online at TheSuffolk.org.
