The Smithereens Live at The Suffolk

The Smithereens, a rock’n’roll band from New Jersey, will be performing at The Suffolk on Thursday, May 23 at 8 p.m. Known for their electrifying performances for over 42 years, the band comprises Jim Babjak, Dennis Diken, Mike Mesaros, and the late Pat DiNizio. With a sound rooted in their Garden State origins, they have released 17 albums and performed over 2,500 live shows. Some of their hits include “Blood and Roses,” “Only a Memory,” and “A Girl Like You.” They have shared stages with iconic acts like Tom Petty, Squeeze, and The Ramones, and made appearances on MTV, The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brien, and Saturday Night Live. Despite the passing of DiNizio in 2017, the band continues to tour with rotating guest vocalists and release new music. They were inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2019 and their legacy continues with ongoing projects like the Grammy Museum’s “New Jersey Legends” exhibit.
