The Suffolk Theater in Riverhead is excited to host The Sixties Show on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at 8 p.m. This musical re-creation show is a journey back to the 1960s, featuring former band members of The Who and John Fogarty of Creedence Clearwater Revival. The band is known for their spot-on, note-for-note re-creations of the hits, B-sides and deep album cuts from the greatest songs of the 1960s.
This time around, the show will include new song selections, multimedia, and narration. The Sixties Show is not just a concert, but a large-scale and ambitious multimedia stage production dramatized by a combination of time travel special effects, narration, ’60s archival audio, and newsreel footage.
The band uses a state-of-the-art sound system and only plays authentic 1960s period vintage and reissue vintage gear and instrumentation, just like the original artists and recordings. The band’s authentic 1960s mod costumes add to the meticulous detail and authenticity of this popular and powerful theater show.
Tickets for the show range from $49 to $75, plus applicable fees, and can be purchased online at TheSuffolk.org.
