The Suffolk Theater is set to host ‘Top of the World,’ a tribute to the iconic music of the Carpenters, on Sunday, Dec. 7. The show begins at 7 p.m. The tribute is led by singer Debbie Taylor, whose vocal resemblance to Karen Carpenter is uncanny. She is accompanied by a seven-piece band of professional industry musicians, all multi-instrumentalists. The band uses up to three keyboards to recreate the complex arrangements of Richard Carpenter. The performance will include backstories behind the music and hits like “Close To You,” “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Rainy Days And Mondays,” “Please Mr. Postman,” and “Yesterday Once More.” Tickets range from $49 to $95, plus applicable fees, and can be purchased online at TheSuffolk.org.
