Transitions Saxophone Quartet at Riverhead Free Library

Transitions Saxophone Quartet will present a unique musical experience titled “Music: The Universal Language” at the Riverhead Free Library. The event will take place on April 6, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Through performance, narrative, and multimedia presentation, the quartet will explore the music of various cultures and ethnicities around the world. They will delve into how each culture has contributed to the development and transformation of music styles over hundreds of years. The sharing of different cultural musical characteristics has given rise to many of the beloved genres we enjoy today, including jazz, pop, hip hop, rock, R&B, and funk.

The concert is free to attend, thanks to public funding provided by the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Planning and the Huntington Arts Council.
