Take a step back in time and discover the Polish immigrant experience in the East End. On Saturday, April 19, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., join local historians Richard Wines and Paul Hoffman for a historical walking tour hosted by Hallockville Museum Farm.
The tour will delve into the Polish migration to Long Island during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. You’ll learn about the influence of Eastern Europeans in the area through foods, festivals, farming, and surnames.
Participants are invited to bring their own stories and photos related to this experience that can be shared at the event. This is a great opportunity to learn about the rich history of our town and the people who shaped it.
The walking history tour is free for Hallockville members and $10 for nonmembers. Register online at the Hallockville Museum Farm website.
