Women’s (Lived) History- Heart of Riverhead Civic Association

March 23, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Join the Heart of Riverhead Civic Association for an engaging exploration of women’s history.

Women’s History Month is a time to learn about trailblazers who shaped our world, but this time we’ll learn from local women who live alongside us today. These women, whose ages span different points along the timeline, will tell their stories about what they have seen, felt and learned as a woman in this world. What are the challenges they’ve faced and the experiences they’ve had? What changes have they witnessed and which have they cheered?  Find out on Saturday, March 23rd at 2pm at Riverhead Library.

Every personal history is an interesting study in how women learn to move through their world. Lives are shaped both by the choices we can make and the choices beyond our control. Consider how gender, age and appearance, education, career paths, social influences and expectations all play a part in how we see ourselves and the life we lead.

Learn, laugh and perhaps share a page of your own story at “Women’s Lived History” March 23rd at 2pm at Riverhead Free Library. Admission is free. Reservations not required, but requested as a courtesy: call 631-727-3228 or go to RiverheadLibrary.org
