Join us for a musical afternoon with Yvette Malavet-Blum as she presents ‘Songs of the Seasons: When the Sun Comes Out’ at the Riverhead Free Library. The performance will feature songs from the Great American Songbook and Broadway, with a sprinkle of jazz versions of the songs.
Yvette Malavet-Blum, a vocalist who regularly performs in venues across the city and Long Island, earned outstanding reviews for her performance as a cast member of the Sal St. George Production Company’s ‘The 1939 World’s Fair’ at the Vanderbilt Mansion. Since then, she has been writing, producing, and performing stellar cabaret shows.
The event will also feature Al Koll, an outstanding pianist who toured the world with opening acts for well-known recording artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Chicago, Blood, Sweat and Tears, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, and others. Currently, he is artist-in-residence and principal accompanist for the Shoreham Wading River CSD.
The event is free to attend and will take place on Jan. 26, from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
