Riverhead Town Police Department will host National Night Out at Riverhead Town Hall, part of the 43rd annual nationwide event promoting crime and drug awareness and police-community partnerships. The event is free and open to the public.
American Legion Auxiliary Riverhead will host a family barbecue celebrating America’s 250th birthday on Sunday, Aug. 30 in Calverton. The event includes a flag ceremony, music by Merrie, and Chinese auctions, a basket of cheer and a 50/50 raffle.
Riverhead Rotary’s 35th annual Bruce Stark Memorial Golf Outing raises scholarship funds for Riverhead High School students attending college. The day includes 18 holes of golf, breakfast, food on the course, a cocktail hour, dinner, an open bar and an auction.
