St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church hosts its annual chicken barbecue on the parish grounds in Riverhead. The event includes live Ukrainian music, raffles, family activities and takeout, with food service from 3 to 5 p.m.
American Legion Auxiliary Riverhead will host a family barbecue celebrating America’s 250th birthday on Sunday, Aug. 30 in Calverton. The event includes a flag ceremony, music by Merrie, and Chinese auctions, a basket of cheer and a 50/50 raffle.
