Riverhead Free Library will host a free Movie Matinee Friday screening of “The Quiet Man.” The film follows a retired American boxer who returns to 1920s Ireland and falls for a spirited redhead, despite her brother’s objections.

The Suffolk will screen the 1952 classic “The Quiet Man” on Saturday, March 14. Tickets include a complimentary Irish coffee and Dianne’s Irish Cream cheesecake, with additional beverages available for purchase.

Riverhead Free Library will screen “The Crossing,” about George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River and the attack on Hessian forces at Trenton. Concession stand snacks will be available, and no registration is required.
