Riverhead Christmas parade, tree lighting and bonfire

Join the Riverhead community for the annual Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 7. The day will kick off with the Lions Club Christmas Parade at 1 p.m. Santa Claus will make a grand entrance by boat at 2:30 p.m. The highlight of the event, the tree lighting, will take place at 5:15 p.m., followed by the community bonfire on the riverfront. Kids can visit with Santa in his gingerbread house on the Peconic Riverfront, while visitors bask in the glow of the a holiday bonfire.
