Join the 28th Annual 5K Run for the Ridley, organized by the New York Marine Rescue Center. The race is set to take place on Oct. 18, 2025. The event aims to raise funds for the center’s cold stun sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation program, focusing on the Kemp’s ridley, the most critically endangered sea turtle in our waters. Participants can either run or walk in this 5K, contributing to the noble cause of saving these animals.
The day’s schedule is as follows:
– 7 a.m.: Registration opens
– 8 a.m.: Race begins
– Approx. 9:30 a.m.: Awards ceremony
The registration fee is $44.15 per runner if paid in advance, or $54.50 on the day of the race. The event offers several amenities for participants, including:
