28th Annual Breast/Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day

The SASS-ARENA Foundation and NYU Langone Health are hosting the 28th Annual Breast/Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day on July 15, 2023. The event will take place at Stonewalls Restaurant in Riverhead, from 8 a.m. to noon. The day will begin with a continental breakfast, followed by a ‘Meet the Experts’ town hall forum and a Support Services Showcase. Dr. Frances Arena, co-founder of SASS-ARENA and a medical oncologist at NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center, will moderate the forum. The panel of medical experts will discuss the latest advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and related health issues. Topics will include comprehensive cancer services in Suffolk County, advances in breast reconstruction techniques, uro-gynecological issues related to hormonal therapy, ovarian cancer screening, signs and symptoms, and more.
