New York Blood Center will hold blood drives at Riverhead Cider House on Oct. 15 and Dec. 17. Appointments are preferred, and walk-ins are welcome.
The 1st Annual Gavyn’s Favorite 5K Run, a 5K run and walk honoring the memory of Gavyn Drago, will be held at Orient Beach State Park. Proceeds will benefit The Gavyn Avery Drago Foundation to support epilepsy research.
Riverhead Athletic Club and Strong Island Running Club host the Run the Wave 5K Turkey Trot at Riverhead High School. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with a kids fun run at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K at 9 a.m.; awards and refreshments follow.
