‘Bearing the Nation: Enslaved Women, Labor, and the Creation of the United States’

An America 250 lecture about the enslaved women whose labor helped sustain the Long Island economy in the years leading up to and during the American Revolution will be presented by Melanie Cardone-Leathers at the Suffolk County Historical Society Museum, 300 W. Main St., Riverhead.
