Join the Mattituck-Laurel Library for a dance lesson on Cha-Cha. The session will be led by professional dancer and instructor Michelle Vicale-Smith. Originated in Cuba in the 1940s, Cha-Cha is a playful rhythm that incorporates music and dance from the Mambo and Rumba. It made its way to the United States in the 1950s and is now a very popular social and competitive dance.
No prior experience is necessary and no partner is needed. The lesson will take place on May 9, starting at 5 p.m. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. To register, visit the library’s website.
