Kick off the new year with a fresh and clean home by learning how to make your own non-toxic cleaning solution at the Mattituck-Laurel Library on Jan. 11. The class, running from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., will educate attendees on the importance of eliminating toxic chemicals from their homes. Participants will learn how to replace these harmful substances with effective, non-toxic cleaning products made from basic household items like baking soda, peroxide, vinegar, and essential oils. Each attendee will walk away with their own natural, non-toxic cleaning product. A non-refundable fee of $10 is required for this program. Registration is available online on the library’s website.
