The Gimme Gimme Disco dance party is making a comeback at the Suffolk on Saturday, June 15. The event starts at 8 p.m. The Suffolk will be transformed into a disco haven, with all its tables and chairs cleared out to make space for a night of dancing. The event is inspired by the music of ABBA, and will feature a DJ spinning all the disco hits of the ’70s and ’80s. Expect to hear tunes from the Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Cher, and many others.
Tickets for the event range from $35 to $45, plus applicable fees. They can be purchased online at TheSuffolk.org. The orchestra level will be general admission standing-room. For those who prefer to sit, balcony seating will still include tables and chairs with wait service. These must be reserved by calling the Box Office at 631-727-4343.
The Suffolk, originally hailed as “The Radio City of Long Island,” is a meticulously restored Art Deco venue and the last original Art Deco theater on Long Island. It regularly showcases acts including Grammy Hall of Fame and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legends, nationally renowned comedians, theater, family and children shows, and much more.
