Godspell – 2012 Revised Edition by Riverhead Performing Arts Summer Academy

The Riverhead Performing and Fine Arts Summer Academy is staging its inaugural summer production, “Godspell – 2012 Revised Edition”. This musical is a comedic interpretation of the Gospel of Matthew, following a group of individuals who unite to narrate the stories of Jesus. It initially premiered on Broadway in 1971 and has since been revived multiple times with modified storylines and song alterations. The music is lively, incorporating both contemporary and traditional elements. The performances are scheduled for Aug. 3, 4, and 5 at 7 p.m. Each show will last for approximately two and a half hours. Admission is $10 at the door.
