Celebrate Mother’s Day with an afternoon of music at the Jamesport Meeting House Chorus Concert on Sunday, May 11. The concert will begin at 4 p.m. The Jamesport Meeting House Chorus has planned a diverse musical program, starting with the contemplative Alleluia by Phillip Hayes, followed by A Million Dreams by Pasek/Paul, made famous by Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman. Other performances include the foot-stomping Everybody by Pinkzebra, the evocative Good Night, Dear Heart by Dan Forrest, and Carry the Light by Andy Beck. Special music includes Cantos de Espana: Cordoba (Albeniz) performed by Jeff Wentz, The Flag Song (Sondheim) sung by Rusty Kransky and Pack Up Your Sorrows (Farina/Marden) sung by Dee Martin. Audience members will also have the opportunity to sing along to Peter, Paul and Mary favorites: If I had a Hammer, Leaving on a Jet Plane, 500 Miles, Blowing in the Wind, Four Strong Winds and This Land is Your Land. Suggested donation of $20 at the door is appreciated. Leave the dishes until later and come to the Meeting House to have a LOT OF FUN this Mother’s Day.
