Step back in time and experience a Revolutionary-era war encampment on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Southold Historical Museum, in collaboration with the reenactors of the Third New York Regiment, will transform the Maple Lane Campus into a vibrant living history site. Here’s what you can expect:
– Explore authentic tents and gear used by soldiers as they prepared to join General Washington and his forces.
– Enjoy hands-on demonstrations including blacksmithing, spinning, basket weaving, printing press, and carpentry.
