Riverhead Free Library will host “Patriots, Traitors, and CIA Case Officers: Spying Then and Now,” a talk on the role of intelligence operations in the American Revolution and how espionage has evolved.

The program looks at George Washington’s spy networks, double agents operating within British ranks, and how intelligence work helped sustain the revolutionary cause against a global empire. The discussion also connects early American espionage to modern intelligence practices.
