Join the Mattituck-Laurel Library for a fascinating look into the life and career of America’s favorite redhead, Lucille Ball, on Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The event, titled ‘Lucy without Desi’, will delve into the illustrious career of the beloved actress, before and after her famous sitcom ‘I Love Lucy’.
Before her iconic role in ‘I Love Lucy’, Lucille Ball was an accomplished motion picture actress, sharing the screen with veterans such as the Marx Brothers, Gene Kelly, Katherine Hepburn, Fred Astaire, and more. After her sitcom and marriage to Desi Arnaz ended, Lucy continued to be the first lady of television, reinventing herself in ‘The Lucy Show’ and ‘Here’s Lucy’.
