Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service: Volunteer Expo at Riverhead Free Library

The Riverhead Free Library is hosting the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service: Volunteer Expo on Jan. 17, 2026. This event, presented by the Heart of Riverhead Civic Association, provides a platform for attendees to discover numerous ways to honor Dr. King through community service. Local nonprofits will be present to offer a variety of volunteer opportunities. Participants may choose to assist with animal care, help at events, work in gardens or food banks, and much more. The event will run from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is free, and all are welcome to explore and engage in the spirit of service.
