Join the AAECF for a unique and enriching cultural experience: Native American History All Year Long. This event invites attendees to delve into the rich, diverse history of Native American communities, moving beyond the limited recognition of Native American Heritage Month in November. The event will be a platform for Indigenous leaders to share their knowledge and traditions.
Highlights of the event include:
– Sharing in traditional foods
– Participating in the ’round dance’
– Engaging discussions led by Indigenous leaders
The event is part of the African American Educational & Cultural Festival, and it aims to celebrate the diverse culture, traditions, and contributions of our Indigenous sisters and brothers. The event will take place on the downstairs stage room of the Riverhead Free Library. An exhibit will also be located on the first floor in the glass showcase.
