Cornell University’s Long Island Horticultural Research and Extension Center will hold an open house for the public on Saturday, July 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The open house will included guided tours through the garden displays as well as two seminars — “Flower Arranging” at 12 p.m. and “Improving Soil Health” at 1:30 p.m. A demonstration on growing vegetables and wagon ride tours will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Herbs, dahlias, unusual perennial plants and hanging baskets will be sold onsite. The event will also include children’s activities.
