Riverhead High School is hosting the Empty Bowls fundraising event for local food pantries on Thursday, Feb. 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the high School.
The event is a collaboration between the school’s ceramic classes and the cooking club. The ceramic students have dedicated their time and creativity to make bowls, while the cooking club students have prepared a variety of soups. The community is invited to purchase these bowls and in return, receive a ticket for a bowl of soup.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to local food pantries.
The event is free to attend, and bowls are available for purchase. The event will be held in the school’s cafeteria.
