The Doo Wop Project brings its new show, “Echoes of the Street,” to the Suffolk for two performances.
The group’s Broadway veterans perform classic doo-wop favorites backed by a live band, along with “doo-wop-ified” versions of contemporary hits reimagined as if they were written during the doo-wop era. The 90-minute program includes songs such as “Whispering Bells,” “So Much in Love,” “Blue Moon,” “Sherry,” and “My Girl,” plus updated takes on music by artists including Taylor Swift, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk and Chris Stapleton.
