Turkey Trot in South Jamesport

Time to trot, or walk or run — whatever makes you happy!  Join the Riverhead Recreation Department for the annual one-mile Turkey Trot up South Jamesport Avenue from Miamogue Beach to the George Young Community Center on Saturday, Nov. 23. 

Parking is available at either the start or finish, it just depends on whether you need a warm-up or a cool-down.  A carb-based breakfast will be served afterwards, a winner in the kids and adults’ categories will be crowned, and gobble-tastic trophies will be awarded to the winners. 

Check-in for preregistered runners begins at 8:30 a.m. at the starting line.  Registration is also available on-site on the day of the event, cash only.  The first 50 registrants will get a free t-shirt.
