North Fork Arts Center will host a three-day introductory animation workshop for students ages 6 and up, using pixilation stop-motion techniques with people as puppets. Students will storyboard, build sets and props, and film their own short movies, with a premiere screening on Saturday, July 25 at 10 a.m.
Riverhead Free Library will host a free Movie Matinee Friday screening of “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” starring James Cagney as Broadway legend George M. Cohan. Concession stand snacks will be available and no registration is required.
