11th Annual Easter Duck Egg Hunt at Big Duck Ranch

The 11th Annual Easter Duck Egg Hunt, organized by Friends of The Big Duck, is set to take place at the Big Duck Ranch in Flanders. This free event is scheduled for Saturday, March 23, starting at noon sharp. Participants are advised to arrive by 11:45 a.m. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, March 24.

Children aged two to nine can participate in the egg hunt that will be held in the grass field behind The Big Duck. Plastic ‘duck eggs’ will be scattered across the field for the children to find. For safety, children will be grouped into three separate age groups. A special prize basket will be awarded to ‘The Good Egg’ from each group who discovers the special egg. The event will also feature a visit from Mother Goose.

The Victorian Barn, housing the Long Island Duck Farming Exhibit, will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission and parking for the event are free. Cars should enter at Otter Hole Neck Road, just east of The Big Duck and park in the back of the field.
