The Mattituck-Laurel Library is hosting a program titled ‘Communicating Effectively with Loved Ones with Dementia’ on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The program aims to educate attendees on how dementia affects communication and provide tips for communicating effectively with family, friends, and health care professionals. This program is offered in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association. Attendees are also encouraged to register for the ‘Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors’ program happening on Nov. 19. Registration for both programs can be done on the library’s website.
