Introduction to FamilySearch Genealogy at Riverhead Free Library

On Sept. 27, the Riverhead Free Library is hosting an interactive workshop titled ‘Introduction to FamilySearch Genealogy’. This workshop is designed to highlight the resources available at FamilySearch Centers on Long Island and FamilySearch.org, which are excellent genealogical research resources. The workshop will guide you through the process of starting your own genealogy journey. The workshop will cover the following topics:

– How to sign up to use FamilySearch.org
– How to start adding your family to the Shared Tree
– How to use the Search functions
– How to add Memories within copyright laws
– How to cite your work
– How to access free online consultations
