Narcan Training at Mattituck-Laurel Library

The Mattituck-Laurel Library is hosting a Narcan Training on March 20. Narcan, also known as Naloxone, is a medication used to reverse opioid overdose. This training will teach participants how to administer nasal naloxone. Participants will be given a free Overdose Rescue Kit, which includes:

– Two doses of Naloxone
– Two fentanyl testing strips
– Two xylazine testing strips
– Appropriate PPE
– Overdose info
– A certificate of completion

The training is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are also welcome. To register, visit the Mattituck-Laurel Library website.
