The Mattituck-Laurel Library is hosting a Narcan Training on June 16, 2025. The training will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Narcan, also known as Naloxone, is a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. The training will teach participants how to administer nasal naloxone. Each participant will be given a free Overdose Rescue Kit. The kit includes:
– Two doses of Naloxone
– Two fentanyl testing strips
– Two xylazine testing strips
– Appropriate PPE
– Overdose info
– A certificate of completion
While registration is encouraged, walk-ins are also welcome. You can register at the Mattituck-Laurel Library’s website.
